Auburn Fire Blazed 700 Acres in the Placer County, California


The Auburn fire, especially at the Gold Country town had blazed approximately 700 acres in the Placer County as of last report. Total number of destroyed properties have not been declared yet, but it surely amount to millions of dollars. The fire went strong on dusk of Sunday at the Northern Auburn.

Firefighters were evacuating residents on Shale Ridge, Moss Rock and Saddle Back roads in Auburn, and officials sent an automated call to all homes with 7 miles of the fire requesting residents evacuate. Authorities set up evacuation centers at two Auburn elementary schools, and an animal evacuation center also was opened at the Dewitt Center in Auburn. (http://www.sfgate.com)
